Destination wedding in Venice: Hannah & Carlo’s island celebration
A TWO-DAY VENETIAN ESCAPE BRIDGING HONG KONG, AUSTRALIA AND ITALY IN A STORY OF QUIET LUXURY.
They chose Venice, the city of their very first getaway together. Blending Hannah’s Australian heritage with Carlo’s Italian roots, they gathered loved ones for a journey through the authentic, lesser-known side of the Venetian lagoon.
Friday kicked off with bold bordeaux tones and authentic cicchetti on a panoramic rooftop. On Saturday, guests were whisked away to Venissa, a hidden vineyard sanctuary far from the crowded tourist paths, where all the guests experienced a true quiet luxury. After an amazing dinner surrounded by native vines, the event concluded with a private boat cruise carrying everyone back across the moonlit lagoon to Venice.

They didn’t just choose Venice, they brought their favorite people back to the very city where they once fell in love on a romantic escape, wanting them to feel that exact same magic.
What made this journey truly special for us was the immense trust they placed in our hands. That level of freedom allowed us to design something genuinely them: an authentic Venetian experience built around contrast, generosity, and pure enjoyment.
It started on Friday with an immersive Venetian welcome on a panoramic rooftop: think pass-around sarde in saor, crispy fritto misto, hot polenta with baccalà, and vibrant floral styling featuring fresh cherries (which guests happily devoured by the end of the night!). It wasn't just an aperitivo, it was a sensory introduction to the real Venice.
The wedding day itself was driven by one single rule: unadulterated fun. From spontaneous sing-alongs and dancing during the live band set at aperitif, to the refined lagoon gastronomy at Venissa, all the way to the night party on the boat, where glowing Hong Kong neon signs lit up the waters.
To design a celebration so personal, for a couple who trusted us with their eyes closed, is the ultimate privilege of our job.
