GOOD QUESTIONS MAKE FOR BETTER WEDDINGS
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know before planning your Italian wedding and a few things you may not have thought to ask.
Planning a wedding abroad comes with questions.
How does the process work? When should you book? What does a wedding planner actually take care of? And, perhaps most importantly, what happens when things don’t go exactly according to plan? Here are our answers, honestly and without the jargon.
PLANNING YOUR WEDDING IN VENETO
-
Most international couples contact us around 10–14 months before their wedding date. Starting early gives us access to the best venues and sought-after local vendors, while leaving enough time to make thoughtful decisions without unnecessary pressure.
That said, there is no magic number. If your date is closer, get in touch anyway, we can look at what is realistically available and build the planning around it.
-
Veneto gives you a little bit of everything: historic villas, vineyards, countryside, mountains, lakes and, of course, Venice.
It also allows you to create an Italian wedding experience without necessarily following the most obvious destination-wedding route. From the Prosecco Hills to Verona, Lake Garda, the Dolomites or the Venetian countryside, there are many different ways to experience the region and plenty of beautiful places that still feel personal and unexpected.
-
Absolutely. If you haven't chosen your venue yet, we can help you identify the area and setting that make sense for you, your guests and your plans.
We consider more than just how a venue looks: guest capacity, accommodation, accessibility, logistics, food and beverage, privacy, weather alternatives and budget all play a part in finding the right fit.
-
Yes, most of our couples live outside Italy.
We are used to planning weddings remotely and working across different time zones, coordinating communication with Italian venues and vendors, arranging site visits when needed and helping you make decisions without having to be physically in Italy for every step.
Our job is to make planning from abroad feel manageable not like having a second job in another time zone.
-
Yes. We coordinate civil, religious and symbolic ceremonies and can guide you through the relevant paperwork, local requirements and ceremony logistics.
The exact requirements depend on your nationality, circumstances and the type of ceremony you choose, so we help you understand what is needed and coordinate with the appropriate local authorities or professionals where necessary.
-
Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.
GUESTS, LOGISTICS & THE UNEXPECTED
-
Yes. Veneto is well connected internationally through Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), Verona Airport (VRN) and Treviso Airport (TSF).
Depending on your location and guest list, we can help you plan airport transfers, private transportation and accommodation logistics so that getting to the wedding feels like part of the experience rather than another thing for your guests to figure out.
-
Yes. Guest care is an important part of what we do.
Depending on your plans, we can help coordinate accommodation options, room logistics, airport transfers, private drivers and shuttles, making sure your guests know where they need to be and when.
For destination weddings, these details can make a surprisingly big difference to the overall experience.
-
We coordinate the logistics around your itinerary, whether that means private shuttles, drivers, water taxis or other local transportation.
For multi-day celebrations, we look at the journey as a whole, not just individual transfers, so that timings, guest numbers, locations and the pace of the weekend all work together.
-
Your Plan B is considered from the beginning, not the week before the wedding.
When we assess a venue and develop your event design, we make sure the alternative works beautifully for your guests and for the overall atmosphere. A rain plan should feel like another version of your wedding, not an emergency solution.
-
Something unexpected can always happen at a wedding. A supplier may be delayed, the weather may change, transportation may run late or a last-minute detail may need adjusting.
Our role is to deal with those things calmly and discreetly, working with the vendors and adapting the plan where necessary so you and your guests can stay focused on the celebration.
ONE DAY OR THE WHOLE WEDDING WEEKEND?
-
Absolutely. Multi-venue celebrations are one of the advantages of getting married in Veneto.
You might have a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, your wedding in a historic villa and a relaxed gathering the following day somewhere completely different. We coordinate the logistics between locations while keeping the experience cohesive.
-
There is no fixed number, but we typically design destination wedding weekends around two to three main events.
This might mean a welcome dinner, the wedding day and a relaxed post-wedding gathering. The structure can always be adapted to your guest experience, your locations and what matters most to you.
-
Yes. We can be involved in planning and coordinating the events around your main wedding, depending on the service and the way your celebration is structured.
Welcome dinners, casual gatherings, boat trips, farewell lunches or other experiences can all become part of the weekend without making it feel like an itinerary everyone has to follow.
-
A single-day wedding gives you one focused celebration, while a multi-day wedding gives you more time to experience Italy with the people you love.
A wedding weekend might include a welcome dinner, the main wedding and a relaxed gathering afterwards. It also gives us more opportunities to bring different places, experiences and moments into the story of your celebration.
Sometimes the best memories throughout the whole wedding weekend.
AND FINALLY, ABOUT US
-
Yes. We are a two-person planning team, and we work closely together throughout the planning process.
Having two planners means two perspectives, shared decision-making and another pair of eyes on the details while keeping the experience personal and direct. You won't be handed over to a large team once you've booked.
-
Yes. We are present on your wedding day to oversee the plans, coordinate your vendors and manage the logistics behind the scenes.
For multi-day celebrations, our involvement in welcome and farewell events is tailored to the service you've chosen and the structure of your weekend. We will always be clear with you about where and when we are involved.
Still have questions? Let's talk.
